This year, NCACE is fortunate to have 2 employer site visits scheduled. These visits are a great opportunity to network with recruiting teams at the organizations, learn more about company culture and hiring opportunities, and find common needs between the companies and the great student talent we have at our colleges and universities across the state of NC. The two site visits for the NCACE 2024 Conference are Novant Health and The City of Wilmington.

Join fellow NCACErs for informal networking dinners on Wednesday night to foster professional connections and build relationships over a great meal. The goal is to create opportunities for collaboration, partnerships and the exchange of ideas. Stay tuned for the restaurants and sign up links. 2023-2024 Mentoring Program Dinner - 6:00-8:00 p.m.
2023-2024 Mentoring Pairs, please join us as we gather to celebrate this year's mentoring pairs on Wednesday, May 15 from 6-8 pm. We'll walk to Elijah's restaurant on the waterfront (~11 minute walk) and enjoy conversation over dinner (pay individually). We invite you to join us whether your mentee/mentor is present at this year's conference. *New mentoring pairs (2024-2025) will have the opportunity to meet over breakfast on Thursday, May 16.
Social Activity: Haunted Cotton Exchange Ghost Tour - 8:00-9:30 p.m.
Brave souls join us for a Scary, Creepy and Mostly Ghostly Cotton Exchange Tour. Chills and Thrills await you at the one of the most Haunted locations in Wilmington! Hear tales of Murder and Mystery that will shock and amaze you. The ghosts of the Cotton Exchange can’t wait to meet you! The sprits are restless so bring your cameras!" This experience will not be covered by your NCACE conference registration and is a non-refundable cost of $10.

Join us for networking in a low-key atmosphere after a productive day of conference-going!
To recognize the incredible contributions of Katie Geise over her many years of service with the organization, the NCACE 2024 Conference will include the Katie Giese Memorial River Riverwalk. We will meet at the Riverwalk next to Hotel Ballast’s outdoor bar at 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 16. We encourage folks to bring their walking shoes (and rain gear just in case) and join with others in a space to remember Katie. Everyone is welcome regardless of how well you knew Katie. Donations are encouraged, but not required (see Philanthropy page for more details).
The DEI Mixer is set to bring together a wealth of resources, information, and networking opportunities. Dr. Tara White, Assistant Professor of History and African American Studies Program Affiliate at UNC Wilmington, will be joining us to provide insightful details about the City of Wilmington, and attendees will have access to resources pertaining to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). We look forward to you joining us!
