    Join us in scenic Asheville, NC, for the "Renew and Rise" conference, where you can connect with colleagues, explore current best practices and innovative approaches, and recharge for the future.  Whether you're an Employer or, in Career Services this event promises to inspire and elevate you, offering a wealth of learning opportunities from industry experts and thought leaders!

    We're excited to introduce the new NC A-List, an initiative designed for new members, first time conference attendees, and those seeking deeper engagement with NCACE at the conference. 

    To be part of the NC A-List, you must identify with at least one of the following:

    • a new NCACE member (member for less than 3 years)
    • a first-time attendee of the NCACE Conference
    • a member looking to connect further with NCACE through a buddy group at the conference

    Interested in being a part of the NC A-List experience but don't meet the bullet points listed above?

    We're looking for passionate NCACE members to lead small groups of NC A-Listers throughout the conference. Your guidance and enthusiasm will help your group navigate the conference, make new connections, and fully immerse themselves in the NCACE experience. This is a light lift!

    Regional Breakout Sessions

    This is the perfect opportunity for NCACE Members from the Western, Central and Eastern Regions to get together and talk about the exciting developments happening in their unique region of the state. Similar to the SoACE State Networking Sessions, these networking sessions allow attendees to meet new people and learn more about the exciting work happening across our beautiful state. Learn about upcoming employer site visits and engage in some fantastic networking with both new and veteran NCACE Members.

    Join fellow NCACErs in visiting two great Asheville employers! These visits are a great opportunity to network with recruiting team at the organizations, learn more about company culture and hiring opportunities. This year, we are offering two options:

    1. French Broad Chocolate Factory private tour. The Bean to Bar Chocolate Factory Tour includes a classroom session about the history of French Broad Chocolate, an overview of cacao farming, chocolate tasting experience, and a guided viewing of the chocolate factory where guest explore every step of the chocolate-making process, form the roasting of the cacao bean to our tempering of the chocolate bars. During the tour, guests will taste cacao in several forms - roasted bean, bar, and bonbon. We will compare and contrast flavor notes in samples of three different chocolate bars. The site visit will begin at 10:30 am and end at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, May 14th. The cost to attend is $15 per person and registration is limited to 50 participants.

    2. Genova Diagnostics tour. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at a leading clinical laboratory specializing in innovative diagnostic testing. This tour offers a unique opportunity to explore career pathways, engage with industry professionals, and learn about the cutting-edge technology driving advancements in personalized healthcare. The cost to attend is free and registration is limited to 30 participants.

    Join the NCACE Operations Academy - a 2-day immersive experience for professionals at higher education career centers!

    Who: Professionals currently employed at a career center of an institution of higher education (Not recommended for graduate assistants or staff with less than one year of professional experience).

    Time Commitment: Watch 3-4 pre-work videos, complete reflection worksheets based on self-arranged interviews, observations, and research (approx. 10 hours)then join the in-person working session on July 17th & 18th in Charlotte, NC.

    Limited Spaces Available - Apply by April 18th, 5pm! Accepted participants will be notified by April 25th.

    Explore Topics Like:

    ·   Analyzing Your Positioning: Identify "pain points" and collaborative opportunities within your institution.

    ·   Understanding Resource Allocation: Learn to maximize budget, human capital, and streamline operations for optimal efficiency.

    ·   Strategic Planning - Micro/Macro Levels: Develop long-term growth strategies for your career center.

    ·   Operationalizing Your Operation: Build processes, policies, and data-driven analytics for effective office management.

    Format:

    ·   Pre-work includes: watching 3-4 videos, completing reflection worksheets based on self-arranged interviews, observations, and research (approx. 10 hours).

    ·   Two-day experience with team simulations, building a career center based on provided resources.

    ·   "Choose your own adventure" simulation with real-time decision-making and group collaboration.

    ·   Mini-scenarios for nimble thinking and adapting to unexpected situations.


    Registration Includes: Morning coffee/tea, power snacks, lunch, and parking passes.

    Registration Does Not Include: Dinner, lodging, and travel costs.
